Functional remuneration
If the office is constitutionally activated and exercised, future functional remuneration will be paid by the Treasury. That remuneration does not purchase intellectual property, replace royalties or dividends, and may not be set by the office-holder.

Two different economic relationships
The first is public: remuneration for the work, availability and responsibility of the office. The second may be private: economic rights arising from assets, licences, shareholdings, contracts or claims that were validly constituted. One does not automatically absorb the other.
What happens when the office ends
Cessation ends future functional remuneration. It does not, by itself, extinguish an earlier claim, licence, royalty, shareholding or other valid proprietary right. Likewise, retaining a proprietary right after leaving office does not recreate public authority.
Accounting without double counting
| Category | What it remunerates | Separation rule |
|---|---|---|
| Functional salary | Exercise of public office | Independently set; ends with the office. |
| Licence / royalty | Use of a proven private right | Must have an identifiable legal and economic basis. |
| Dividend / shareholding | Private corporate position | Does not produce public power. |
| Reimbursement / contract | Specific expense or consideration | May not be disguised as salary or royalty. |
