Farol
Farol is the name of a concept for a complementary client providing access to the Sistema Candeia ecosystem. It does not replace Candeia OS, which remains the main operational interface envisioned for users. There is not yet a stable public Farol version to install. The proposal is to make navigation, authentication and access easier without making this client mandatory for using Candeia.
The role of Farol
As a complementary navigation client, Farol may make discovery, authentication and access easier. Its use does not replace Candeia OS and cannot be an exclusive requirement for exercising rights or changing legal state maintained by the competent modules.
Collection only when necessary, with clear purpose, retention and controls.
Losing or replacing Farol cannot extinguish identity, rights, property or essential access.
The client does not define authority
Finds a service or information.
Opens the public interface or competent module.
Uses credentials when the function requires them.
The function occurs in the responsible system.
The result points to the institutional source, not the browser.
Farol does not yet have a stable public version. Before one exists, the project needs to define updates, telemetry, security and distribution in a verifiable way.
