Property lookup
Looking up property means reading an authorised projection of the registry and cadastral state. GOV may provide guidance and display public information, but it does not manually maintain ownership.

What a lookup needs to make clear
Which unit?
A persistent identifier and cadastral reference prevent confusion between visually similar objects.
Which right is being shown?
Ownership, encumbrances or other data must come from the competent legal source and carry context about its period of validity.
Which geometry?
The map or SGDC may show the corresponding spatial version without turning geometry into title.
Who can see it?
Publicity of assets does not eliminate minimisation, data protection or access rules.
How a property lookup should be read
A sound lookup needs to answer four questions before displaying any appearance of an “owner”.
There is no operational property-registry lookup in this version. The portal does not display fictional ownership merely to fill the interface.
